Lionrush roastery on a Monday

How it works

Why Monday. Why 20%.

Every subscription order roasts on Monday and ships the same day. Coupling all subscriptions to one roast day lets us batch the work — the roaster runs full, the team packs in parallel, the truck leaves heavier.

That's where the 20% comes from. It's logistics, not a marketing trick. We save on operations, you save on every bag.

If a Monday lands on a holiday, the roast moves to Tuesday and we email you. That's the only exception.

FAQ

Practical questions. real answers.

How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?

Roasted the day it ships. Most orders land 2–4 days off-roast. Check the bag — we print the roast date.

Which grind do I need?

Espresso machine: Espresso. Stovetop Moka: Moka. Drip or pour over: Drip & Pour Over. French press or cold brew: Cold Brew & French Press. Got a grinder? Whole Bean. Always whole bean if you can.

How should I store it?

Coffee is a fresh product. Roasted coffee starts losing flavor compounds in days, not months. Most grocery shelf coffee is 2–6 months off-roast by the time you open the bag. Ours leaves the roastery the day it's roasted.

Our bags are nitrogen-flushed — we vacuum out the oxygen and replace it with food-grade nitrogen before sealing. The one-way gas release valve lets CO2 from fresh-roasted beans escape without letting oxygen back in, and the resealable zipper keeps the bag tight after you open it.

Store at room temperature, away from direct light. Don't refrigerate. You can taste the difference in the first cup.

Will this work in my pod machine?

For now, we make whole bean and ground — not pods. If you run a Nespresso, our Pod Refill Kit lets you fill reusable, recyclable pods with our coffee (fresher, cheaper per cup, and no plastic waste). Keurig-compatible coffee is launching soon — drop your email on the home page and we'll let you know first.

Can I cancel or pause my subscription?

Anytime. One click from your account. No phone calls. No retention scripts. Reschedule a shipment, change frequency, or cancel — your choice.

What's actually different from a $10 grocery espresso?

Three things. The beans are bought from family farms we know, scored 84+ on the cupping table (a small fraction of global production). The roast is done the day it ships, not in a warehouse five months ago. Every batch of green we buy is lab tested. That's the pitch. We don't have a fourth.

Why do you offer 20% off subscriptions?

Because we batch them. Subscription orders renew and roast on Mondays — every subscriber, every week. That lets us plan our green coffee, our roast schedule, and our shipping in one efficient batch. The savings get passed back to you. One-time orders ship Monday through Friday, roasted to order.

Do you ship internationally?

US only for now. International is in the works. Newsletter for updates.

Local to Miami?

Same-day pickup available. Order before 1 PM, select Local Pickup at checkout.

What if I don't like it?

Email us at team@lionrushcoffee.com. We'll make it right. We'd rather you drink coffee you love than keep money for coffee you don't.

How do I reach a real human?

Three ways:

  • Email: team@lionrushcoffee.com
  • Call or text: +1 (954) 231-3459 — Monday through Friday, business hours
  • Live chat: the bubble in the corner of every page (connects to SMS, so we reply from wherever we are)

Small team in Miami. Real humans. No tickets, no auto-responders.

Subscribe when it makes sense. Cancel when it doesn't.

Subscriptions only work if they save you money and time. Ours do both. If yours doesn't, leave in two clicks — no hard feelings, no friction.
