Which grind do I need?

Espresso machine: Espresso. Stovetop Moka: Moka. Drip or pour over: Drip & Pour Over. French press or cold brew: Cold Brew & French Press. Got a grinder? Whole Bean. Always whole bean if you can.

How should I store it?

Accepted Answer

Coffee is a fresh product. Roasted coffee starts losing the aromatic compounds in weeks, not months. Most grocery shelf coffee is 2–6 months off-roast by the time you open the bag. Ours usually leaves the roastery the day it's roasted.

These bags are nitrogen-flushed — we vacuum out the oxygen and replace it with food-grade nitrogen before sealing. The one-way gas release valve lets CO2 from fresh-roasted beans escape without letting oxygen back in, and the resealable zipper keeps the bag tight after you open it.

Store at room temperature, away from direct light. Don't refrigerate. You can taste the difference in the first cup.

Will this work in my pod machine?

For now, we make whole bean and ground — not pods. If you run a Nespresso, our Pod Refill Kit lets you fill reusable, recyclable pods with our coffee (fresher, cheaper per cup, and no plastic waste). Keurig-compatible coffee is launching soon — drop your email on the home page and we'll let you know first.

What's actually different from a $10 grocery espresso?

Three things. The beans are bought from family farms we know, scored 84+ on the cupping table (top 10% of the world's coffee). The roast is done the day it ships, not in a warehouse five months ago. Every batch of green we buy is lab tested. That's the pitch. We don't have a fourth.

When will my order arrive?

We ship via UPS, Monday through Friday. Orders placed before 1 PM Eastern roast and ship the same day. Orders after 1 PM go out the next business day — though we'll do our best to slip yours into the same-day batch if we can.

Florida: usually 1 business day after shipping.
Rest of the continental US: 1–5 business days.

Question 7

Tracking says "delivered" but it's not here.

UPS sometimes scans "delivered" before the package actually lands. Check your porch, side gate, and the spot the driver liked the look of. Ask the neighbors. Still missing after 24 hours? Email team@lionrushcoffee.com with your order number and we'll chase it with UPS.

My order arrived damaged.

Email team@lionrushcoffee.com with your order number and a photo of the damage. We'll replace it. Fast. No tickets, no forms.

Can I cancel or change a one-time order?

Accepted Answer

Depends on timing. We roast to order, so once your bag is in the day's batch, it's already in the roaster. Email team@lionrushcoffee.com right away with your order number — catch us before the roast and we'll fix it. After that, talk to us anyway. We'll figure something out.

Can I cancel or pause my subscription?

Reschedule, change frequency, or cancel, anytime. One click from your subscription portal. No phone calls needed.

Why do you offer 20% off subscriptions?

Because we batch them. Subscription orders only renew on Mondays. That lets us plan our green coffee, our roast schedule, and our shipping in one efficient batch. The savings get passed back to you. One-time orders ship Monday through Friday, roasted to order.

Same-day pickup available. Order before 1 PM, select Local Pickup at checkout. Walking in without an order? Call +1 (954) 231-3459 first — we roast to order, so the shelf is rarely stocked. Sometimes there's a fresh batch on the bench, sometimes there isn't.

Email team@lionrushcoffee.com within 30 days. We refund the cost of the coffee (shipping isn't refundable). We'd rather you drink coffee you love than keep money for coffee you don't.
